Portfolio Lens

Terms of use

Plain terms for a small service: what it is, what it is not, what it asks of you, and what it does not promise.

Portfolio Lens is run by Nikhil, for friends and family. Questions: nikhiltx31@gmail.com. Last changed 16 October 2026.

What it is

A reader for your own consolidated account statement from CAMS and KFintech. It shows the mutual funds the statement lists, how they are spread, what they have returned, and — from each fund house's monthly disclosure — what the funds hold underneath. It is free.

What it is not

It refuses rather than guesses

A statement that does not cover your full history, or whose transactions do not add up to its own balances, is refused with the reason, and nothing from it is kept. A fund house’s filing that fails its own arithmetic is not loaded. A fund with no filing is shown as not covered, never as holding nothing. So some answers will be missing; that is deliberate.

What it asks of you

What it does not promise

It is provided as is, with no warranty. The figures are built from your statement and from data that fund houses, AMFI and others publish, and any of it can be wrong or late; check anything you act on against your statement, which stays the record. The service may change, or stop, at any time.

These terms

They are written for a service run for people the operator knows. They will be revised before any public launch, and a changed version is posted here with its date. What is kept about you, and who sees it, is in the privacy statement.
